CPR Anytime for Families of At-Risk Cardiac Patients to Launch

Once again, Crozer-Chester Medical Center 3 South Telementry and Audrey Blewer, MPH, from the Center for Resuscitation Science at the University of Pennsylvania, will team up to give free CPR training to families of at-risk cardiac patients before they are discharged to go home. The program launched on April 19th and will be offered to patients and their families.

3 South nurse volunteers have been trained to equip families with the skills needed to act if necessary for a cardiac incident. CPR Anytime training can take place anywhere that is convenient, it there is enough room training can take place in the patient’s room or even a waiting room or conference room. If you are interested in becoming a nurse volunteer, contact Audrey Blewer, MPH, at audrey.blewer@uphs.upenn.edu.

Bereavement Support Group

The Crozer-Keystone Hospice Program offers a bereavement support group that is open to all adults who have recently lost a loved one and are working through the grieving process. The group meets every Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Taylor Hospital in Classrooms A&B. Registration is not necessary. For more information, please call Jill A. Bariatric Seminar’s Now Offered Online

All prospective patients must attend a bariatric seminar as your first step in the Comprehensive Bariatric Surgery Program. Crozer-Keystone also offers an online bariatric seminar (NOTE: participation is required and seminar must be viewed in its entirety). Once you have completed the seminar, a representative from the Crozer-Keystone Bariatric Surgery Program will call or e-mail you to follow-up.
