Healthy PA enrollment began on Dec. 1.
Health insurance protects you from huge bills if you get sick or injured. Health insurance helps you pay for the healthcare you and your family need, like medicines and check-ups. The new healthcare law helps us get health insurance that is affordable and covers what we need.

Get Ready to Apply
Applying for coverage is easy. When you're ready to enroll, make sure you know:
- Your household size
- Your income for 2015 (an estimate)
- If anyone in your family can get health insurance through an employee
- The names of your preferred doctors and hospitals

The Health Insurance Marketplace
The Health Insurance Marketplace, a source of information about consumers' health insurance options as well as an enrollment portal for Pennsylvanians, is available at Healthcare.gov. Open enrollment this year begins November 15, 2014 and ends on February 15, 2015. More information »
Healthy PA, a new option that went into effect on December 1, 2014, is for Pennsylvania residents who need health insurance but do not qualify for the Healthcare Marketplace. More information »

As the largest health system in Delaware County, we are taking steps to help members of our community understand the Health Insurance Marketplace. Some of these activities include:
We have met the criteria to be designated as a Certified Application Counselor (CAC) organization by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Our counselors have been individually trained by CMS and are designated as Certified Application Counselors. These Certified Application Counselors will be responsible for helping consumers - via phone call and on a walk-in basis at our hospitals - to learn about the basics of health coverage, identify and compare their coverage options and help them select health coverage that best fits their budget and specific needs.
