Small group instruction and overview of diabetes; causes, symptoms, recommended action for hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia; benefits of exercise; overview of medications and foot care. Review American Diabetes Association (ADA) guidelines: blood sugar goals, Hemoglobin A1c, and Standards of Care.

All participants are encouraged to meet at The Center for Diabetes prior to the start of class and a member of the team will guide the class to the conference room.
