Crozer-Keystone Health System (CKHS), a not-for-profit health system, was established in 1990 by the merger of Crozer-Chester Medical Center (Crozer) and Delaware County Memorial Hospital (DCMH). From its beginning CKHS, located minutes from Philadelphia, has been the dominant provider of healthcare in Delaware County, Pennsylvania; northern Delaware, and part of western New Jersey. The population covered represents almost a million people.
CKHS has expanded its services and geographic impact through a number of mergers and acquisitions. Today, CKHS comprises five hospitals with a bed count of 774, including:

CKHS includes a Level II trauma center; a well-known and highly regarded regional burn center; transplant program; advanced heart care services including open heart surgery; orthopedics, sports medicine and rehabilitation services; two regional cancer centers; a fertility center; sleep-disorders centers; a wound care center with hyperbaric medicine; comprehensive maternity services, including intensive care nurseries and maternal fetal medicine; and a robust primary care and specialty care network (CKHN).
CKHN has a full-time opportunity available to join an established and busy general surgery practice. The ideal candidate will be BE/BC in general surgery and have solid general surgical skills with a subspecialty interest in minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic procedures. Call is approximately 1:4 for weekends and 1 night of call during the week. This is a solid general surgery opportunity with no trauma or vascular surgery responsibilities. Other responsibilities will include teaching rounds (students and residents), program development within the Crozer Keystone system and community outreach.
The practice is located twenty minutes from downtown Philadelphia, PA, close to beautiful urban and suburban homes and top quality private and public schools. Nationally recognized cultural and sports programs are available, as well as recreational activities for all ages. We are strategically located and only a two hour drive south to Washington, D.C., a 90 minute drive north to New York City, 90 minutes west to historical Lancaster county and 90 minutes east to New Jersey and Delaware beaches
