Formed in 2000 through the merger of several previously independent Delaware County and Chester County orthopaedic practices, Premier Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Associates currently has seven physician office locations and sees patients at all of the Crozer-Keystone Health System hospitals, including Crozer, Taylor, Delaware County Memorial and Springfield.
The practice's 36 physicians pride themselves on combining a general knowledge of orthopaedics with a particular area of subspecialty, such as hip and knee replacement, shoulder surgery, sports medicine, traumatic injury, and reconstructive foot and ankle work. Such specialization ensures that the practice remains up to date on the latest procedures and techniques. In every case, the physicians' goal is to make orthopaedic care a positive experience that meets the individual's particular needs, whether he or she is a young athlete injured during play or an senior seeking pain relief through a joint replacement.
The Brinton Lake office offers area residents a convenient “one-stop sho”" for all of their orthopaedic and musculo-skeletal needs. Physicians send patients to Crozer Imaging at Brinton Lake for imaging studies and to Premier Outpatient Physical Therapy for rehabilitation-both of which are located in the same building. They also perform orthopaedic surgical procedures at The Surgery Center at Brinton Lake.
“The continuity of care we can offer at Brinton Lake is truly exciting. If you come in as an orthopaedic patient and need an MRI or other imaging, there are appropriate facilities in the same building. .Then you see your orthopaedic specialist and if you need surgery, you can have it in The Surgery Center at Brinton Lake. If you need physical therapy after surgery, you can get that done as well. Virtually all of the musculoskeletal needs you have can be taken care of right here.” - Frank Giammattei, M.D.
