Fellowship trained in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Jose Maceda, M.D., specializes in the treatments of pelvic floor disorders, which may affect women at any stage of their life. Pelvic floor dysfunction results in many disorders, including vaginal prolapse, stress incontinence, overactive bladder, bladder emptying problems and defecation difficulties.
Dr. Maceda offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with a variety of therapies, including behavioral modification, pelvic floor rehabilitation, medication or surgery. He believes that most women who experience incontinence or prolapse can enjoy a better quality of life through either conservative treatments or reconstructive surgery. A comprehensive treatment plan is developed in accordance to each woman’s symptoms and personal preference, and care is provided in a compassionate, respectable environment.
