The experienced, compassionate physicians of Surgical Care Associates care for patients with breast disease, thoracic and abdominal malignancies, gallbladder disease, hernias and other surgical needs. The latest technologies, including minimally invasive laparoscopic, thoracoscopic and sentinel lymph node procedures, are employed.   

Board-certified in general surgery, Mary Lou Patton, M.D., is the designated American College of Surgeons cancer liaison physician for the Crozer Regional Cancer Center at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, and she is the physician coordinator of Crozer’s breast cancer program. A board-certified critical care surgeon, she also serves as one of the directors of the Nathan Speare Burn Treatment Center at Crozer. She is a fellow of the Society of Surgical Oncology and is vice chair of the Cancer Committee at Crozer. 

Robert Guilday, M.D., is assistant director of the Burn Center. He is board-certified in general surgery, and he has also completed a fellowship in surgical oncology. Dr. Guilday is the first surgeon in the county to perform single-incision abdominal laparoscopic surgery. 

Kerry Ross, M.D., completed his residency at Christianna Care Health System in Newark, Del., and specializes in all forms of general surgery, including laporoscopic surgery and minor surgeries performed in the office setting.

The surgeons will schedule breast biopsy, needle localization breast biopsy, skin biopsies, hernia repairs and other outpatient procedures at Crozer Medical Plaza’s state-of-the-art Surgery Center; inpatient procedures are completed at Crozer-Keystone hospitals.
