The experienced, compassionate physicians of Surgical Care Associates care for patients with breast disease, thoracic and abdominal malignancies, gallbladder disease, hernias and other surgical needs. The latest technologies, including minimally invasive laparoscopic, thoracoscopic and sentinel lymph node procedures, are employed.
Board-certified in general surgery, Mary Lou Patton, M.D., is the designated American College of Surgeons cancer liaison physician for the Crozer Regional Cancer Center at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, and she is the physician coordinator of Crozer’s breast cancer program. A board-certified critical care surgeon, she also serves as co-chief of the Nathan Speare Burn Treatment Center at Crozer. She is a fellow of the Society of Surgical Oncology and is vice chair of the Cancer Committee at Crozer.
Robert Guilday, M.D., is assistant director of the Burn Center. He is board-certified in general surgery, and he has also completed a fellowship in surgical oncology. Dr. Guilday is the first surgeon in the county to perform single-incision abdominal laparoscopic surgery.
Linwood Haith, M.D., is co-chief of the Nathan Speare Burn Treatment Center at Crozer and completed his surgical residency at Yale, New Haven Hospital and Jefferson University. In addition, Dr. Haith is Assistant Professor of Surgery at Temple University, Drexel University and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
The surgeons will schedule breast biopsy, needle localization breast biopsy, skin biopsies, hernia repairs and other outpatient procedures at Crozer Medical Plaza’s state-of-the-art Surgery Center; inpatient procedures are completed at Crozer-Keystone hospitals.
